Bratislava (Macarca : Pozsony , Almanca : Pressburg ) Slovakya Cumhuriyetinin başkenti ve en büyük şehridir.
Avusturya 'nın başkenti Viyana 'nın 50 km kadar doğusunda bulunan şehir yaklaşık 450.000 nüfusludur. Tuna Nehri kıyısında yer alan şehir hem Avusturya 'ya hem de Macaristan 'a sınırdır. Dünyada bu şekilde iki devlete sınırı olan sadece iki tane başkent vardır. Bratislava, parlamentosu, devlet binaları, üniversiteleri, müzeleri ve tiyatroları ile Slovakya 'nın siyasi ekonomik ve kültürel merkezidir. Slovaklar, Almanlar , Macarlar , Avusturyalılar , Çekler ve Yahudiler şehrin geçmişinde güçlü izler bırakmıştır. Bratislava kozmopolit ruhunu hâlâ muhafaza etmektedir. Şehir çok sayıda festivale ve ticari sergiye ev sahipliği yapmaktadır.
